A Wedding at Fanshawe Pioneer Village

In the heart of London, Ontario, Fanshawe Pioneer Village stands as a testament to history, offering a perfect setting for a wedding that beautifully melds the past with the present. As a wedding photographer, this venue provides an exceptional canvas to create beautiful images. It brings to life the artistry of fine art photography amidst a backdrop of historical elegance and natural beauty.

Ashley and Derek’s special day at Fanshawe Pioneer Village was amazing. Their first look, held against the quaint heritage buildings, was a deeply intimate moment. This first exchange was filled with authentic emotions. It perfectly set the tone for a day that would be remembered forever. Afterward, we set out to wander the grounds for portraits and took full advantage of all the different buildings and scenery.

The ceremony unfolded under the village’s expansive skies, surrounded by the lushness of nature and the charm of history. The golden sunlight lent a soft, ethereal glow to the scene, as vows were exchanged and promises made, their closest family and friends standing witness. The day was hot and water bottles were on hand for everyone to keep cool and refreshed. The kids used the bucket to keep cool too, having a lot of fun at the same time.

Food trucks!

In a delightful twist, the reception brought a contemporary vibe to the historic setting. A food truck offered an array of culinary treats, from gourmet chicken and waffle sandwiches to scrumptious tacos. It added a fun, modern twist to the celebration. Undeniably, the chicken and waffle sandwiches were some of the best wedding-food I’ve ever had.

This Fanshawe Pioneer Village wedding was not just a day to remember but a beautiful intertwining of history, love, and modernity, captured through the lens of a camera. Each moment, from the quiet beginnings to the joyous celebrations, was a testament to Ashley and Derek’s love story.
